Here is a highly collectible Omega Constellation pie pan watch in exceptional condition. It’s clear that the original owner barely wore this watch, as it has been preserved beautifully. The case shows minimal signs of normal wear, with edges that still retain their original sharpness and chamfers. This example is one you may not encounter again.
The factory-original pie pan dial is sharp and attractive, and the original case features a solid gold bezel and case back medallion, with gold-capped lugs over solid stainless steel. It also retains its original pie pan crown and the signed crystal is in great shape. Most remarkably, the rare original yellow gasket is still soft!
The case model is 167.005, measuring 34mm across (excluding the crown) and 43mm from lug tip to lug tip. This model is famously known as the Gérald Genta "dog legs" case Constellation. The watch has been fully serviced and is running strong. It houses a 24-jewel automatic movement, an Omega calibre 551, with the serial number 19349628, dating it to 1962.
Included with the watch is its original black genuine 18mm leather strap, which remains soft and comfortable on the wrist. The strap comes with the original signed buckle in excellent condition. The wrist size in the provided photo is 6 inches.
Additionally, the watch comes with its original box, cushion, signed certificate, and booklet (with the personal information page removed). It’s worth mentioning that the original box has a unique dimension, being about an inch wider than the average vintage Constellation box from the same era.
