An outstanding vintage Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometre. A brilliant and high quality timepiece. The full rotor and professionally serviced automatic movement is an Omega caliber 501 with serial number 14971094 dating this timepiece to 1955. This is a rare transitional version replacing the bumper automatic version from the first generation. It is also very rare with the smaller font "Chronometre and Official Certified" dial. It is working strong and accurate. The factory original cross hair Shark Teeth dial is in very well aged condition. Set of original dauphine hands. Brand new crystal. The case is made of a solid stainless steel and excellently preserved. Solid gold case back emblem. Brand new case back gasket. Original signed crown. Case model is 2852-5 SC and measures 35mm across excluding the crown by 42mm lug tip to lug tip.
