Before Omega introduced their first Omega Constellation model in 1952, they first introduced a few of their unsigned chronometre models from late 1940 to early 1950. There were only a handful of these watches introduced into the market, they come in two different dimensions (33.5mm or 35.5mm) and have become some of the most collectible vintage Omega timepieces in today's market. However, since they are scarce to encounter, only those "big-time" Omega fanatics will know and highly appreciate these watches. The movement that goes into a vintage Chronometre of this era is also different from regular models. Chronometre movements are unique due to their luxury finish on some of their parts and a distinctive complicated regulator balance bridge. The automatic bumper movement is an Omega caliber 333 with serial 12159369, dating this watch to 1950--- it has been professionally serviced and is running accurately. The case model is 2515-3 and measures 35.5mm, excluding the crown by 42.6mm from lug tip to lug tip. The crown is original and signed. Crystal is brand new. Solid stainless steel case with a solid pink gold bezel. The case appeared to have been polished in the past. The factory's original finished dial is nicely patina and age.
As you can see, the Omega logo on the dial and the hands have aged to the same tone. It will come with a brand new 18mm genuine leather strap. The wrist size in the photo is 6 inches. Let's say, if you're going to miss out on this one, there may not be another that will look this great again for a very long time.
