This is a very rare US Navy retirement presentation watch given to Captain John Joseph Curley. Some people dislike a watch with engraving on the case back. However, to own a timepiece with such significant monogram case back makes the watch even more special and unique. The rare factory original finish dial is untouched and nicely aged. Luminous coffin hour indexes make the watch very attractive. The fully serviced 351 bumper automatic wind movement is working strong and accurate. 14k gold filled case with steel case back screw ring unpolished original signed case. Original signed crown. A new crystal has been fitted on. The movement serial number is 11796296 dating this watch to 1949. Original Omega signed case model reads G6232 (T985199) and measures 33.5mm across excluding crown by 39.3mm lug tip to lug tip. Will come with brand new 18mm handmade vintage style genuine leather strap. Wrist size in photo is 6 inches.
