Here is a rare genuine RAAF (Royal Australian AirForce) military Omega vintage watch. This particular watch model and dial design is available to civilian and to the US Army as well. The original US Army version will have engraving on the case back "US ARMY". But the RAAF version like this one is even more scarce to find. For someone who collects military item or for someone who just wanted to own a piece of Australian history, this would be a great find! It is definitely a rare and collectible piece. Very attractive and aged original dial retaining its original luminous hour indexes. The movement is professionally serviced and ready for daily wearing. New crystal. Case back gasket has not been replaced since the original metal gasket that initially came with the watch in the 40's is still on the case. Crown is unsigned and is the correct original crown for those who know this case model well. The manual wind Omega 30T2 movement has been serviced and regulated. The movement serial number is 10283966 dating this timepiece to 1944. Solid stainless steel case in its original unpolished condition. Case model is 2179-4 and measures 35.3mm across excluding the crown by 42mm lug tip to lug tip. The watch will come with a brand new vintage style 18mm handmade genuine leather strap.
