This is definitely one of the earliest Omega 30T2 out there. They are first introduced in 1939, so to come across one dating to 1940 is extremely scarce. Unlike the more commonly seen 30T2 dial, the Omega logo on this one is located closer to the 12 o'clock index. The factory original finish dial is nicely aged. Large sub second dial makes it even more attractive. The fully serviced 30T2 manual wind movement is working strong and accurate. Solid stainless steel unpolished original signed case. Original unsigned crown. A new crystal has been fitted on. The movement serial number is 9292571 dating this watch to 1940. Case model reads 10089349 and measures 32.6mm across excluding crown by 37.6 lug tip to lug tip. Will come with brand new stainless steel mesh bracelet.
