This stunning vintage Omega Chronograph watch is not only attractive but also holds a significant place in horological history, often referred to as the grandfather of vintage Omega chronographs. Recently serviced, the watch works excellently, and all of its chronograph functions operate flawlessly, demonstrating the precision craftsmanship that Omega is renowned for.
At the heart of this timepiece is the manual wind chronograph movement, the Omega calibre 33.3, with 17 jewels. The movement's serial number confirms that this watch dates back to 1940, making it one of the last Omega chronographs produced with this particular movement, which adds to its rarity and desirability.
The watch features a 14k solid gold case, which remains in excellent condition, reflecting the care it has received over the years. The case measures 37.8mm in diameter, not including the crown, and stretches 43.4mm from lug tip to lug tip, giving it a presence that is both elegant and timeless. The model number for the case is 2088. 
To further enhance its appeal, the watch is fitted with a brand-new acrylic crystal that protects a rare original factory-finish dial featuring a "Pulsation" feature—an uncommon and sought-after detail that adds character to this vintage piece.
